Hochschullektoren und Sprachtrainer treffen sich in Greifswald
Vom 25. bis 27. Mai 2006 kommen in der Universitäts- und Hansestadt Greifswald 38 Englischdozenten aus ganz Deutschland, teilweise auch aus dem europäischen Ausland und den USA, zu der Tagung "Legal English Teachers in Germany (and beyond) 2006" zusammen. Das dreitägige Symposium richtet sich an Hochschullektoren und freiberuflich tätige Sprachtrainer des Bereichs Fachsprache Recht Englisch.
Dabei sollen eine Reihe wichtiger Teilaspekte des Lehrens und Lernens der englischen Sprache speziell für Juristen diskutiert und ein aktueller Erfahrungsaustausch geführt werden. Unter anderem geht es um die Definition von studien- und berufsorientierten Lehr- und Lernzielen, die Ausgewogenheit von Fach und Sprache im Fachsprachenunterricht, die Nutzung neuer Medien und die Vorbereitung auf fachspezifische Praktika im Ausland.
Das Informationsforum der Lektoren und Sprachtrainer wird durch die Vorstellung eines neuen Lehrwerks zur Fachsprache Recht Englisch der Cambridge University Press sowie des International Legal English Certificate (ILEC) der University of Cambridge ergänzt.
Den öffentlichen Einführungsvortrag mit dem Titel "Translation, Culture and Comparative Law" (in englischer Sprache) hält Prof. Uwe Kischel, Lehrstuhl für Öffentliches Recht, Europarecht und Rechtsvergleichung an der Greifswalder Rechts- und Staatswissenschaftlichen Fakultät. Zu dem Referat am Donnerstag, dem
25. Mai 2006, um 16.00 Uhr (Rechts- und Staatswissenschaftlichen Fakultät, Domstraße 20, SR 209) sind Gäste recht herzlich willkommen.
