Prof. Dr. Georg Kreymann wird zwei Jahre der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Ernährungsmedizin (DGEM) e.V. vorstehen
Beim Kongress "ernährung 2006" am 1. Juni in Berlin hat Prof. Dr. Georg Kreymann als neuer Präsidenten der DGEM e.V. sein Amt angetreten. Die Amtszeit beträgt zwei Jahre. Sein Vorgänger, Prof. Dr. Berthold Koletzko aus München, gehört als 1. Vizepräsident weiter dem Präsidium an. Neu gewählt wurde als 2. Vizepräsident und damit ab 2008 zukünftiger Präsident der DGEM Prof. Dr. Arved Weimann aus Leipzig. Zum Präsidium gehören als Schatzmeister Privatdozent Dr. Michael Adolph und Prof. Dr. Stephan C. Bischoff als Sekretär.
Prof. Kreymann, Jahrgang 1950, studierte Medizin in Freiburg, Paris und Berlin. Er wurde 1982 promoviert und habilitierte sich 1993. Seit April 2005 ist er Direktor der Klinik für Intensivmedizin am Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf, wo er bereits seit 1982 tätig ist. Seine wissenschaftlichen Schwerpunkte liegen unter anderem in der Adjuvanten Sepsistherapie, der Stoffwechselveränderung und Ernährung bei Sepsis sowie der Analyse der Körperkompartimente bei Normalpersonen und Intensivpatienten mit Hilfe der bioelektrischen Impedanz-Analyse. Er ist verheiratet und hat zwei erwachsene Söhne.
