Das aktuelle BINE-Bildungsinfo des Fachinformationszentrums Karlsruhe stellt die Nutzung der Photovoltaik vor.
Zur Versorgung von Taschenrechnern und Parkscheinautomaten haben sich Solarzellen auf dem Markt etabliert. Photovoltaik trägt in Deutschland erst weniger als ein Promille zur Stromerzeugung bei. Sie gilt jedoch als Schlüsseltechnologie zur künftigen Elektrifizierung von Entwicklungsländern.
Neben der Solarstrahlung, Solarzellentypen und verschiedenen Photovoltaikanlagen (netzgekoppelt oder autark) werden auch umweltrelevante Aspekte beleuchtet sowie Wirtschaftlichkeit und zukünftige Verbreitung skizziert.
