Das Tübinger Max-Planck-Institut für biologische Kybernetik ist Partner
in dem bis 2010 laufenden Integrierten Forschungsprojekt BACS (Bayesian
Approach to Cognitive Systems), das durch die Europäische Kommission
mit 7,5 Mio. Euro gefördert wird. In diesem Projekt untersuchen Forscher,
inwieweit das Bayes Theorem auch auf künstliche Wahrnehmungssysteme
anwendbar ist, die komplexe Aufgaben in natürlicher Umgebung
übernehmen. Das Bayes Theorem ist Grundlage für rationales
Urteilsvermögen, wenn nur unsichere und unvollständige Informationen
verfügbar sind.
