Vom 23. bis 25 August 2006 findet an der Deutschen Hochschule für Verwaltungswissenschaften der "1st European Summit on Modernizing Government" statt. Zu dem von Univ.-Professor Dr. Herrmann Hill betreuten Gipfel werden Experten aus den meisten europäischen Ländern erwartet. In Workshops zu den Themen Concepts, Culture and Convergence, Organization, Finances, Quality/Evaluation, Strategic Governance, New Challenges und Leadership sollen verschiedene Aspekte der Verwaltungsreformen in den jeweiligen Ländern erörtert werden. Ziel ist es, auf diese Weise in einer Art best practice Forum eine Plattform für den europäischen Austausch in Sachen guter Verwaltung zu schaffen.
