Neue Technik vom Max-Planck-Institut für Biochemie durchbricht die Auflösungsgrenze der optischen Infrarot -Mikroskopie
Ein völlig neues optisches Mikroskopieverfahren, das einzigartige Möglichkeiten für die Beobachtung von lebenden Zellen und die Qualitätskontrolle und Charakterisierung von Halbleiterchips eröffnet, haben Forscher des Max-Planck-Instituts für Biochemie und der Universität von Texas, USA, entwickelt. Erstmalig hatten die Wissenschaftler eine Superlinse mit einem Nahfeldmikroskop kombiniert und damit die bisherigen Auflösungsgrenzen überwunden (Science, 15. September 2006).
