Nach Duncan Lewis, Kazuyo Sejima, Ryue Nishizawa, Jean-Philippe Vassal und Markus Allmann wird im Wintersemester 2006/2007 der kanadische Architekt Brian MacKay-Lyons die Masterklasse in Düsseldorf innerhalb der internationalen Gastprofessur leiten.
Brian MacKay-Lyons ist Professor an der Dalhousie University in Halifax (Kanada). Er vertritt eine einzigartige Architektur, deren Häuser, Geschäftsgebäude und öffentliche Projekte auf die Topographie seiner neuschottischen Heimat eingehen.
Jährlich veranstaltet er im Sommer den international renommierten Workshop "Ghost Laboratory" in Halifax, an dem Studierende aus aller Welt teilnehmen. 2005 wurde sein Buch "Plain Modern" im Verlag der Princeton Architectural Press veröffentlicht.
Die PBSA plant eine Ausstellung seiner Projekte Anfang 2007.
