Am 4. Mai 2007 veranstaltet der Masterstudiengang Musiktherapie der Fachhochschule Frankfurt am Main - University of Applied Sciences(FH FFM) einen Infotag.
Nach einem Vortrag zur Musiktherapie von Eckhard Weymann und einer Unterrichtssimulation mit Birgit Gaertner und Studierenden werden Kurz-Workshops angeboten. Zum Abschluss der Veranstaltung findet ein Konzert statt.
Musiktherapie kommt zum Einsatz, wenn über die Sprache hinaus ein Zugang zum Patienten gesucht wird. Die wichtigsten Praxisfelder liegen in der psychotherapeutischen Begleitung von Kindern, Jugendlichen und Erwachsenen. Ein Forschungsfeld in Frankfurt ist Musiktherapie mit altersdementen Menschen.
