High Performance Optical Coatings for Pulsed Laser Applications - 4./5. July at the Laser Zentrum in Hanover.
The power handling capability of optical components is regularly inhibiting the further evolution of high performance laser systems. The development of optical coatings for next generation short and ultrashort laser strongly depends on reliable methods for measuring the laser-induced damage threshold. In order to fulfil the ever increasing requirements requested by demanding applications in science and industry, the dialogue between optics manufacturers, system integrators and testing institutions has to be supported.
The aim of this workshop is to present selected results concerning manufacture and testing of optical coatings for pulsed laser applications ranging from microsecond to femtosecond pulse duration. Furthermore, the workshop shall be a forum for interested institutes and companies especially to discuss common research topics and possible consortia for EC joint research projects in the 7th FP.
Possible research topics relevant to EC calls are:
* Coatings for short and ultrashort pulse lasers from DUV to NIR
* Contamination issues on LIDT
* Standardisation in laser beam and optics characterisation
Attandence is free of charge.
Please register until June 29!

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
