Professor Dr. Manfred Stolte, Leiter des Instituts für Pathologie im Klinikum Bayreuth ist für seine wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten auf dem Gebiet der gastroenterologischen Pathologie und seiner Leistungen zur internationalen akademischen Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem Klinikum Bayreuth und der Shiga Universität für medizinische Wissenschaften in Japan zum "Ehrendoktor" (Dr. h.c.) ernannt worden.
