Springing from the initiative of ETH Zurich and Euresearch, the shores of Lake Zurich on Friday, 28 September 2007 will be a free-of-charge celebration of public and private research in Switzerland, from 5:00 p.m. to midnight.
The aim of the third annual Researchers' Night is to provide researchers who have benefitted from EU support the opportunity to present and promote their often acclaimed research to the general public. About 10,000 visitors are expected to attend. A central theme of the evening will be Health and Technology. Research on display is to include findings from ETH Zurich, IBM, University of Zurich and CERN.
The festive 'Lakeside Zurich' event will take place in two central locations in Zurich (Bellevue and Zurichhorn) with shuttle boat transporation every 20 minutes between the locations.
You are invited to take part in the media tour that will begin shortly before the official opening. The tour will take about 40 minutes, including VIP shuttle boat to Zurichhorn.
