Trayss Prime workshop "How to write a successful FP7 proposal"

Peter Frank General Secretary
ScanBalt

On 3rd October 2007 TRAYSS PRIME offers a one day workshop on proposal writing within the 7th European Framework Programme as a satellite to the ScanBalt Forum in Copenhagen, Denmark. This workshop is targeted to PhD-students, postdocs, junior group leaders and other scientists in the life science sector who to date have little or no experience with EU research funding. It will provide insights into all aspects of importance for the optimal use of the funding opportunities provided by FP7, starting with the identification of suitable calls and programmes, the search for project partners and the building of research consortia and is finally going into details of the proposal and evaluation procedure.

The workshop includes extensive hands-on-exercises, thus giving the participants the opportunity to directly apply and deepen the knowledge gained. After finishing the workshop, participants will be able to navigate the "jungle" of EU research funding and to prepare grant applications within FP7 more effectively and successfully.

Due to the fact that the TRAYSS PRIME project is supported by the EU, the participants have the opportunity to learn from EU funding experts at extremely low costs.

Participants from New EU Member States please ask for registration fee reduction opportunities! The number of participants is limited to 20 and just a few seats are free. In case of over-booking, the organizers will select the participants under the aspect of a regional and thematic balance. Seminar language is English.

More information, such as the workshop agenda and the online registration form is accessible under http://www.scanbalt.org/trayss

TRAYSS PRIME is an EU-FP6 financed project offering training workshops to young life science researchers on the three topics "Research and Project Management", "EU grant acquisition under FP7" and "Management of Intellectual Property". The project partners (Steinbeis Team Northeast, Rostock, ProSciencia Beratungs-GmbH, Lübeck and ScanBalt LifeScience Network, Copenhagen) are experts in European research funding and in research management. The main idea is to sensitize and educate young European researchers from the Baltic Sea Region on concepts regarding research management.
