21-Jährige leidet an Mukoviszidose / Pressegespräch am Dienstag, 9. Oktober, mit der Patientin
Zum ersten Mal haben Chirurgen der Klinik für Herz, Thorax, Transplantations- und Gefäßchirurgie der Medizinischen Hochschule Hannover (MHH) einer Patientin geplant eine Lunge transplantiert, obwohl die Blutgruppen der Empfängerin nicht mit der Blutgruppe des Spenders übereinstimmte. "Wir sind mit dem Ergebnis der Operation sehr zufrieden", sagt Professor Dr. Martin Strüber, leitender Oberarzt der Klinik für Herz, Thorax, Transplantations- und Gefäßchirurgie, der mit seinem Team die Operation durchgeführt hat. Weltweit ist es das erste Mal, dass eine derartige Transplantation einer Lunge erfolgreich verlaufen ist.
