Das Deutsche Klimarechenzentrum investiert zu seinem 20-jährigen Bestehen in neue Rechnerkapazitäten
Vor zwanzig Jahren wurde in Hamburg das Deutsche Klimarechenzentrum (DKRZ) gegründet. Dessen Ziel ist es, die Klimadynamik mithilfe von Rechenmodellen quantitativ zu verfolgen. Zum Jubiläum bekommt das Institut etwa 60 Millionen Euro. Ein neues Gebäude und ein neuer Superrechner sollen die hohe Qualität der deutschen Klimaforschung auch in Zukunft sicherstellen.
