"Technology Day" is all about Intelligent Environments

    On Thursday, 22 November, the Ministry of Education, Science, Youth and Culture will organize the "Technology Day" at the Fraunhofer Center in Kaiserslautern, which will deal with the important cross-disciplinary topic of "Ambient Intelligence".

    On Thursday, 22 November, the Ministry of Education, Science, Youth and Culture will organize the "Technology Day" at the Fraunhofer Center in Kaiserslautern, which will deal with the important cross-disciplinary topic of "Ambient Intelligence".

    This new and dynamic technology provides intelligent, networked, and computing environments. Novel kinds of user interfaces adapt to the situation at hand and support the user in various living environments.

    Since 2003, the state of Rhineland-Palatinate has been giving proper attention to the importance of this topic by establishing the research focus "Ambient Intelligence" in Kaiserslautern. Universities, research institutions, and companies in other locations throughout the state are also working on this topic.

    The intent of the "Technology Day 2007" is to make the "Ambient Intelligence" competencies and activities in Rhineland-Palatinate visible. At the same time, the event will contribute to strengthening the network of actors in science and business.
