Unter dem Titel "Die schönsten deutschen Bücher 1999" zeigt die Würzburger Universitätsbibliothek am Hubland ab Montag, 4. September, eine Ausstellung.
Aus zehn Sachgebieten werden 52 Werke gezeigt, die im Jahr 1999 erschienen sind und deren Satz, Druck, Bild und Einband als vorbildlich erkannt und prämiert wurden. Die Auswahl wurde von einer unabhängigen Jury vorgenommen und von der "Stiftung Buchkunst" in Frankfurt am Main und Leipzig organisiert.
Die Bücher sind bis einschließlich Samstag, 7. Oktober, im Ausstellungsraum im Erdgeschoss der Bibliothek zu sehen. Die Öffnungszeiten: im September Montag bis Freitag von 8.30 bis 18.00 Uhr und Samstag von 9.00 bis 18.00 Uhr; im Oktober Montag bis Freitag von 8.00 bis 21.00 Uhr und Samstag von 9.00 bis 18.00 Uhr. Der Eintritt ist frei.
