Bonn, 11.01.2008. Wie geplant hat Prof. Dr. Ulrich Benjamin Kaupp zu Beginn des neuen Jahres seine Arbeit als wissenschaftlicher Direktor am Forschungszentrum caesar in Bonn aufgenommen.
Damit beginnt bei caesar die Forschung auf dem Gebiet der Neurowissenschaften.
Prof. Kaupp wird als geschäftsführender Direktor den Aufbau des Forschungszentrums vorantreiben und selbst eine Abteilung für "Neurosensorik" leiten. In den nächsten Wochen werden die ersten Wissenschaftler, die auf diesem Gebiet arbeiten, bei caesar einziehen.
Mit dem Amtsantritt von Prof. Kaupp endet die kommissarische Leitung durch Prof. Dr. Erwin Neher und Prof. Dr. Herbert Waldmann. Der Stiftungsrat dankte in seiner heutigen Sitzung den kommissarischen Direktoren für ihre Einsatzbereitschaft und ihr hohes persönliches Engagement.
