Der Senat der Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg hat in seiner heutigen Sitzung am Mittwoch, den 23. Januar 2008, vier Prorektoren und Ihren Kanzler neu gewählt bzw. die Wahl durch den Unirat bestätigt.
Neuer hauptamtlicher Prorektor für Studium und Lehre:
Professor Dr. Hans-Jochen Schiewer, Deutsches Seminar I; Professur für Germanische Philologie
Neue Prorektorin für Forschung und Medizin:
Professorin Dr. Charlotte Niemeyer, Ärztliche Direktorin der Pädiatrischen Hämatologie und Onkologie der Universitäts-Kinderklinik
Neuer Prorektor für Internationalisierung und Technologietransfer:
Professor Dr. Jürgen Rühe, Institut für Mikrosystemtechnik; Chemie und Physik von Grenzflächen
Neuer Prorektor für Prorektor für Kommunikation und Wissensmanagement:
Professor Dr. Heiner Schanz, Institut für Forst- und Umweltpolitik; Arbeitsbereich Markt und Marketing
Neuer Kanzler:
Dr. Matthias Schenek, stellvertretender Referatsleiter im Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Forschung, Baden-Württemberg
Die gewählten Prorektoren und der Kanzler treten ihre Ämter mit Beginn der Amtszeit des neuen Rektors, Prof. Dr. Andreas Voßkuhle, zum 1. April 2008 an. Die Amtszeit des hauptamtlichen Prorektors beträgt sechs Jahre, der nebenamtlichen Prorektoren drei Jahre, die des Kanzlers acht Jahre.
