52. Deutsche Pflanzenschutztagung in München
Die chemische Pflanzenschutzmittelindustrie stellt neuerdings auch Insektizide mit Pilzen (dem Actinomycet Saccharopolyspora spinosa) her, die die Wirkstoffe Spinosyn A und Spinosyn B produzieren. In Deutschland soll das Mittel gegen den Traubenwickler im Weinbau, gegen den Kartoffelkäfer, aber auch im Zierpflanzenbau eingesetzt werden, wie Dow AgroScience auf der 52. Deutschen Pflanzenschutztagung in München vortrug.
Die Firma bezeichnet das "grüne" Pflanzenschutzmittel als nicht akut toxisch gegenüber Vögeln und Säugetieren. Es ist nicht giftig für eine Reihe von Nützlingen, zum Beispiel Raubmilben. In den USA, Kanada und Australien ist Spinosyn bereits zugelassen. (BBA)
