Die Bibliothek der Fachhochschule Frankfurt am Main - University of Applied Sciences beteiligt sich vom 24. bis 31. Oktober 2008 an der Aktionswoche "Deutschland liest. Treffpunkt Bibliothek" mit verschiedenen Veranstaltungen.
Die Bücherausstellung: "Die Welt erlesen - Geschichte und Geschichten rund ums Lesen" ist vom 24. bis 31. Oktober 2008 im Lesesaal der Bibliothek zu sehen. Sie kann montags bis freitags von 9 bis 19 Uhr und samstags von 10 bis 15 Uhr besichtigt werden.
Am 29. Oktober 2008 liest dort Erich Schöndorf, Professor am Fachbereich Wirtschaft und Recht der FH FFM, von 13 Uhr 30 bis 14 Uhr 30 aus seinem Umweltkrimi "Feine Würze Dioxin".
Auf dem Bücherflohmarkt am 28. und 29. Oktober 2008 findet man im Foyer von Gebäude 4 eine vielseitige Auswahl an älteren und neueren Büchern rund um Freizeit und Bildung.
Die bundesweite Kampagne "Deutschland liest. Treffpunkt Bibliothek" findet erstmalig statt. Mit besonderen Aktionen, wie Präsentationen, Lesungen und Ausstellungen stellen sich rund 11.000 Bibliotheken vor. Die Kampagne steht unter der Schirmherrschaft des Bundespräsidenten Horst Köhler und wird vom Deutschen Bibliotheksverband e.V. (dbv) koordiniert.
