Am 19. Dezember 2000 erhielt Frau Regierungsdirektorin Brigitte Klotz in Potsdam die Urkunde des Ministerpräsidenten des Landes Brandenburg zur Ernennung als Präsidentin der Fachhochschule Lausitz aus den Händen der Ministerin für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kultur, Frau Prof. Dr. Johanna Wanka.
Der Senat der Fachhochschule Lausitz hatte Frau Brigitte Klotz am 29. November in einer außerordentlichen Sitzung aufgrund des Wahlvorschlages des Landeshochschulrates einmütig (neun Ja-Stimmen/ eine Enthaltung) zur Präsidentin gewählt.
Sie tritt ihr Amt am 01. Januar 2001 an.
