Kiran Nagarkar und Christoph Peters sind die Poetikdozenten der Universität Tübingen im Wintersemester 2008/09. Die Tübinger Poetik-Dozentur wird von der Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG, Künzelsau gefördert.
Vom 24. bis 28. November 2008 werden beide Autoren öffentliche Vorlesungen und Seminare an der Universität Tübingen abhalten. Kiran Nagarkar spricht an drei Abenden (24., 25., 27. 11.) über folgende Themen:
1. Vorlesung: "Cluesless: An Occasional Writer's Journey."
2. Vorlesung: "The Language Conflicts: The Politics and Hostilities between English and the Regional Languages in India, or: Meditations on Neighbours, Traitors, Bilingual Writers, Outsiders, Indian Writers in English, 'Basha' Authors and the Common Man."
3. Vorlesung: "Shiva's Blue Throat: A Personal Vision of the Role of the Artist in the 21st Century."
Christoph Peters wird am 26.11.2008 unter dem Titel "Fliegende Teppiche" über das Verhältnis von Schreiben und Kultur sprechen. Zusätzlich findet am 28.11.2008 ein Podiumsgespräch statt, das von Ilija Trojanow, dem Poetik-Dozenten des vergangenen Jahres, geleitet wird.
Alle Veranstaltungen finden in Hörsaal 25 des Kupferbaus, Gmelinstraße statt. Veranstaltet wird die Poetik-Dozentur vom Deutschen Seminar unter der Leitung von Prof. Dorothee Kimmich.
Am 30.11.2008 um 11 Uhr findet zusätzlich eine Lesung von Kiran Nagarkar und Christoph Peters in der Kunsthalle Würth in Schwäbisch Hall statt.
