Rüdiger Mack Stabsabteilung Kommunikation
Fachinformationszentrum Karlsruhe

FIZ Karlsruhe will launch new website of STN International on December 2, 2008 / topical news and extensive documents available for free / target group oriented presentation

Karlsruhe/London, November 2008 -FIZ Karlsruhe has re-designed and re-structured the website of its online service STN International (http://www.stn-international.com) which is operated together with Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS). As of December 2, 2008, customers, business partners, and anyone interested can now easily and conveniently access the information they are looking for and thus get the support they need for their research activities.

The new website provides direct access to the database online service via different user interfaces. The new website also offers extensive information material (topical news, database descriptions, workshop manuals, presentations, search tips, etc.) researchers may benefit from. The STN software products STN Express and STN AnaVist are available for download. There is also a current calendar of workshops and user meetings with the option to register online for these events. The clear structure of the new website with its well arranged navigation bar makes finding information very easy.

"The website is the heart of our customer communication," says Dr. Rainer Stuike-Prill, Vice President Marketing and Sales. "It not only provides the latest news on our products and services, but also free information material on our databases, interfaces and search functions. We know that our customers highly appreciate this service and make extensive use of it."

Those who do not yet know STN International but are interested in the products and services it offers benefit from a presentation of solutions for different target groups - information professionals, intellectual property professionals, researchers, and academic institutions.
"Of course, the STN website also has to be a means to acquire new customers", says Rüdiger Mack, Head of Staff Unit Communications. "We briefly introduce the services and products offered by STN. More detailed information can be found by clicking the links to the sub-sections. Thus, visitors of our website can already get an overview of their specific topic of interest before contacting us online or by phone."
