Vortrag von Professor Jon Shaw von der University of Plymouth zur Bahnprivatisierung.
Die Bezirksvereinigung Thüringen der Deutschen Verkehrswissenschaftlichen Gesellschaft e.V. lädt in Kooperation mit der Fakultät Wirtschaft-Logistik-Verkehr der FH Erfurt am Donnerstag, dem 29. Januar 2009, um 16:30 Uhr zu einem wissenschaftlichen Vortrag ein. Professor Jon Shaw von der University of Plymouth referiert über "Policy and politics of British railway privatization". Jon Shaw ist Professor für Transport Geography und Direktor des "Center for Sustainable Transport" an der University of Plymouth, England. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Bereich der Verkehrspolitik, insbesondere der Eisenbahnpolitik im Vereinigten Königreich. Er ist Autor und Herausgeber mehrerer Bücher (aktuelle Neuerscheinung: "Traffic jam: 10 years of 'sustainable' transport in the UK") sowie wissenschaftlicher Beirat der britischen Regierung.
