Beim 10. Würzburger Medizintechnik Kongress vom 11. bis 13. Mai 2009 diskutieren Ingenieure, Mediziner, Hersteller und Dienstleister über den Stand der Medizintechnik sowie zukünftige Entwicklungen. Im Mittelpunkt stehen die Themenbereiche Organisation und Kommunikation, Technologien und Innovationen sowie Medizin- und Informationstechnik. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt des Kongresses ist das Thema Trinkwasserhygiene. Die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Biomedizinische Technik im VDE (DGBMT) organisiert die Themenschiene zur Medizin- und Informationstechnik. Das VDE-Institut informiert über die Zertifizierung von Medizintechnik und IT.
