(24. April 2009) Der Fachbereich SciTec der FH Jena hat seit diesem Wintersemester eine neue Professorin sowie einen neuen Professor:
Prof. Dr. Marlies Patz wurde für das Lehrgebiet "Fertigungstechnik und -automatisierung" an den Fachbereich berufen. Die Ingenieurin studierte Gerätetechnik an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. Nach ihrem Diplom schloss sie ein Forschungsstudium, ebenfalls an der Jenaer Universität, an. 1994 verteidigte Frau Patz erfolgreich ihre Dissertation. Prof. Dr. Patz war bis zu ihrer Berufung an die Fachhochschule Jena wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin im Institut für Werkzeugtechnik und Qualitätsmanagement Schmalkalden.
Prof. Dr. Michael Rüb lehrt "Physikintensive Technologien und Mikrostrukturierung". Nach seinem Studium in Erlangen und London sowie Forschungsaufenthalten in Portugal und der Schweiz promovierte der Physiker 1997 an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. Bis zu seiner Berufung arbeitete er im Unternehmensbereich "Automotive Industrial and Multimarket" der Infineon Technologies Austria AG im österreichischen Villach. Prof. Dr. Rüb ist verheiratet und Vater von zwei kleinen Töchtern.
