Anlässlich der heute veröffentlichten CHE-Studie zur Halbzeitbilanz des Hochschulpakts I sagte die Präsidentin der Hochschulrektorenkonferenz (HRK), Professor Dr. Margret Wintermantel, heute in Leuven:
"2007 gab es noch Anlaufschwierigkeiten. 2008 aber hat eine so große Dynamik eingesetzt, dass die Sollzahlen sogar übertroffen wurden. Dies ist ein Erfolg:
Diesen Weg müssen wir nun konsequent in der zweiten Phase von 2011 bis 2015 weiter gehen, damit wir so viel gut ausgebildete Akademiker bekommen wie unser Land braucht.
Der Staat steckt zurzeit viel Geld in die Stützung der Konjunktur. Die gemeinsamen Anstrengungen von Bund und Ländern sind notwendig. Eine wirtschaftspolitisch klügere Investition als in die Bildung gibt es nicht."
