Zu einem Vortrag der Architekten Frank Barkow und Regine Leibinger aus dem gleichnamigen Berliner Büro lädt das Fachgebiet Architektur der Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee (KHB) ein. Unter dem Titel "Berlin and beyond" stellen die beiden eigene Projekte vor.
"Berlin and beyond" findet statt am Freitag, dem 11. Mai 2001 um 18.30 Uhr in der Aula der Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee, Bühringstraße 20, 13086 Berlin.
Das Berliner Büro Barkow Leibinger Architekten wurde 1992 gegründet und hat heute 25 Mitarbeiter. Ein Arbeitsschwerpunkt des Büros ist der Industriebau. Zu den realisierten Projekten zählen unter anderem eine Kindertagesstätte und ein Jugendfreizeitheim in Berlin, eine Laserfabrik in Stuttgart und ein Kunden- und Technikzentrum in Connecticut, USA. Die im Büro geplante Halle für die Bundesgartenschau 2001 in Potsdam steht kurz vor der Eröffnung. Sowohl Regine Leibinger, als auch Frank Barkow haben Gastprofessuren an der Harvard Universität. Erstmalig stellen sie nun ihre Arbeit in Berlin vor.
