Hormone beeinflussen den Menschen sein Leben lang. Sie bestimmen seine Gesundheit, sein Verhalten, seine äußere Erscheinung, seine Stimmung. Entsprechend komplex und fachübergreifend ist die Wissenschaft von den Hormonen. Professor Bruno Allolio vertritt dieses Fachgebiet seit 1992 an der Medizinischen Klinik I der Universität Würzburg. Anlässlich seines 60. Geburtstags findet das internationale Symposium Endocrinology and Modern Medicine an der Universität Würzburg statt, und zwar am Samstag, 10. Oktober, im Zentrum für Innere Medizin (ZIM). Zu Ehren Allolios stellen dort führende europäische Hormonforscher neueste Erkenntnisse aus ihrem Fachgebiet vor.
