Das Kolloquium der Automatisierungstechnik wird jährlich vom Institut für Automatisierungstechnik der Universität Bremen organisiert. Es bietet sowohl jungen als auch erfahrenen Wissenschaftlern die Möglichkeit, neue Forschungsergebnisse und Fortschritte ihrer Arbeiten zu präsentieren. Das 31. Kolloquium findet am 5. und 6. November 2009 in Leer statt. Dabei werden 35 Arbeiten aus den Bereichen Prozessautomatisierung, Bildverarbeitung, Service Robotik, Rehabilitationsrobotik und Brain Computer Interfaces präsentiert, davon 16 in Form von Vorträgen und 19 als Poster.
