Der Dortmunder Barbershopchor "Ladies First" singt, damit Kinder in Not und insbesondere Erdbebenopfer in Indien Hilfe bekommen. Beim Benefiz-Konzert im Audimax hoffen die Veranstalter auf ein volles Haus. Der Eintritt ist frei, erwartet werden Spenden zu Gunsten von Projekten des Kinderhilfswerks unicef.
Das Programm beginnt am 7. Juni um 19:30 Uhr im Auditorium Maximum, Vogelpothsweg 87, auf dem Campus Nord der Universität Dortmund.
Der Dortmunder Barbershopchor "Ladies First" reißt sein Publikum seit 1991 mit. Das Ensemble von 26 Frauen hat in Deutschland zahlreiche Wettbewerbe gewonnen, in Europa gehört er zur Spitzengruppe, 1999 nahm er in Atlanta an einem Vergleich der 30 besten Barbershopchöre der Welt teil.
"Ladies First" singt Jazz und Swing Standars, Blues, Gospels, Schlager und Evergreens. Ein Mann macht mit: Dirigent Manfred Adams gilt als einer der erfolgreichsten Barbershopper Deutschlands.
Mit dabei sind die "Bad Boys" und der "Ambassador Choir" als Freunde der "Ladies First".
