Heute, am 11. Dezember 2009, hat Prof. Dr. Dieter Lenzen seine Wahl zum Präsidenten an der Universität Hamburg angenommen.
Dazu heißt es in einer Erklärung des Präsidiums:
"Wir freuen uns über diese Entscheidung und sind überzeugt, dass unsere Universität mit Prof. Lenzen eine positive Weiterentwicklung erfährt. Mit ihm ist eine Persönlichkeit für die Universität Hamburg gewonnen worden, die sowohl als Wissenschaftler als auch als Präsident der FU Berlin auf vielfältige und überzeugende Erfahrungen und Erfolge zurückblicken kann."
Prof. Dr. Dieter Lenzen wird sein Amt voraussichtlich im Frühjahr 2010 antreten. Bis dahin bleibt Prof. Dr. Gabriele Löschper amtierende stellvertretende Präsidentin der Universität Hamburg.
