EU fördert Vorhaben am Institut für Rechtsinformatik mit rund 120.000 Euro
Klinische Studien sind in der Regel an strenge rechtliche Vorschriften gebunden. Das interdisziplinäre Projekt PONTE will eine Infrastruktur schaffen, die es Medizinforscherinnen und –forschern erleichtert, klinische Studien zu erstellen. Einer von neun europäischen Projektpartnern ist das Institut für Rechtsinformatik an der Leibniz Universität, das von der Europäischen Union eine Fördersumme von rund 120.000 Euro erhält. Das Akronym PONTE steht dabei für Efficient Patient Recruitment for Innovative Clinical Trials of Existing Drugs to other Indications.
Die neu geschaffene Plattform soll an kritischen Punkten Hilfestellung für Entscheidungen geben, beispielsweise durch Verweise auf Literatur, die besagt, ob das Vorhaben bedenklich ist oder schon einmal ähnlich umgesetzt wurde. Außerdem soll diese Infrastruktur es erleichtern, Patientinnen und Patienten für klinische Studien zu rekrutieren. Das Institut für Rechtsinformatik soll dabei gewährleisten, dass die Infrastruktur entsprechend der europäischen Datenschutz- und Ethikstandards aufgebaut wird.
