HHL research paper receives prestigious “honorary mention” at major family business conference

    At the 10th Annual IFERA World Family Business Research Conference (Lancaster, UK, July 6-9, 2010), a paper from HHL’s Chair of Strategic Management and Organization was ranked among the top three most creative.

    After already having received two major awards in April this year, the paper addressing the concept of fit from strategic management literature in family firm context, now received the “Jeffrey Rothstein Award honorary mention” from the IFERA 2010 awards panel, which annually searches the most creative research papers from new and emerging scholars.

    Corinna Lindow, doctoral student at the Chair of Strategic Management and Organization, prepared the paper with her co-authors Professor Dr. Torsten Wulf and Dr. Stephan Stubner and presented it in the invited full paper track of IFERA, where she successfully convinced the awards jury.

    IFERA is one of the worldwide leading conferences on family business research which was this year held early July in Lancaster, UK. The conference aims at sharing latest research findings and brings together theoretical advancements, empirical trends, best practice and policy agendas. All papers go through a double-blind review process before being admitted for presentation. The presenters this year had the possibility to discuss their work with leading scholars and policy makers from 45 different nations.

    This award is in memory of Jeff Rothstein and sponsored by FFI and Hubler Family Business Consultants. It is given in recognition of the most creative research paper from a new/emerging scholar as judged by the annual IFERA awards panel.
