Der Dresdner Politikwissenschaftler Prof. Dr. Hans Vorländer ist in Berlin zum neuen Vorsitzenden der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Politikwissenschaft gewählt worden. Seit 1993 hat er den Lehrstuhl für Politische Theorie und Ideengeschichte an der TU Dresden inne.
Professor Vorländer, 1954 geboren, studierte Jura und Politikwissenschaft in Bonn und Genf, verbrachte zwei Jahre als Research Fellow an der amerikanischen Harvard-Universität und hatte Professuren an den Universitäten Frankfurt am Main und Essen inne.
Von 1997 bis 2000 war er Dekan der Philosophischen Fakultät und Senator der TU Dresden.
