Die Klinik und Poliklinik für Anästhesiologie und Intensivtherapie der Universität Rostock führt in diesem Jahr vom 26.01. - 02.02.2002 in St. Anton, Arlberg, Österreich, das "Internationale Symposium für Anästhesie, Intensivtherapie, Notfallmedizin und Schmerztherapie" durch.
Die Organisation dieser traditionsreichen Veranstaltung wurde 2000 von der Direktorin der Klinik für Anästhesiologie und Intensivtherapie, Frau Prof. Dr. Gabriele Nöldge-Schomburg, übernommen und seither erfolgreich vom Organisationsteam aus Rostock weitergeführt.
Zu diesem Symposium werden ca. 300 Teilnehmer erwartet. Für das vielfältige wissenschaftliche Programm konnten namhafte Referenten aus Deutschland, England, Österreich und der Schweiz gewonnen werden. Im Mittelpunkt des Kongressprogramms stehen u. a. die Behandlung von Organinsuffizienz, Schmerztherapie und Anästhesie im Kindes-und Neugeborenenalter.
