Wussten Sie schon, wie man Taktzeiten von ICE's ausrechnen kann? Oder wie sich natürliche Sprache effizient in Text umformen lässt? Oder wie man Videos komprimieren und abspeichern kann? Und dass diese drei Themen zusammenhängen?
Antwort auf diese Fragen geben 24 Experten auf dem Gebiet der Automatentheorie während des Workshops "Weighted Automata: Theory and Applications" in der Woche vom 4. bis 8. März an der TU Dresden im Gerber-Bau, Bergstraße 53, Hörsaal 038.
Die Vorträge spiegeln eine Vielzahl von Zusammenhängen zwischen Theoretischer Informatik, Algebra und aktuellen Anwendungen wider.
Der Workshop wird gemeinsam vom Graduiertenkolleg "Spezifikation diskreter Prozesse" der Fakultät Informatik und dem Institut für Algebra der Fakultät Mathematik und Naturwissenschaften veranstaltet, und vom SMWK und der Firma Infineon Technologies Dresden unterstützt. Es nehmen 64 Teilnehmer aus 15 Ländern aus Europa, den U.S.A. und Neuseeland teil.
