Im Rahmen des Veranstaltungsprogramms der LINUX User Group Iserlohn findet am 17.04.2002 ein Vortrag zum Thema "Der VIM-Editor" statt.
VIM ist ein Editor, der besonders für die Bedürfnisse der Programmentwicklung ausgelegt ist. Der Vortrag von Prof. Dr. Fritz Mehner, Hochschullehrer an der Fachhochschule Südwestfalen, geht zunächst auf die grundlegenden Fähigkeiten wie Navigieren, Suchen, reguläre Ausdrücke oder Makros ein. Danach wird die Unterstützung von Shell-Kommandos, der diff-Modus sowie die Verwendung von make und ctags vorgestellt. Abschließend beleuchtet Prof. Mehner noch die Erweiterbarkeit und Programmierbarkeit von VIM. Da VIM auf fast jeder Plattform verfügbar ist, ist der Vortrag vor allem für jene interessant, die gerne programmieren.
Beginn der Veranstaltung ist 18.30 in der Fachhochschule Südwestfalen, Frauenstuhlweg 31 in Iserlohn. Die Teilnahme ist kostenlos.
