>Psychoanalysis, Islam, and the other of liberalism<
Ort: SFB 640, Hausvogteiplatz 5 – 7, 10117 Berlin, Raum 0109 (EG)
Joseph Andoni Massad (*1963) ist Professor für Modern Arab Politics and Intellectual History am Department of Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies an der Columbia University in New York. The Persistence of the Palestinian Question (2006).
"Desiring Arabs by Joseph Massad is an impressive project that ventures into uncharted territory and can be read as a complement to both Edward Said's Orientalism and Michel Foucault's work on sexuality.“ Samia Mehrez, American University in Cairo
The stark choice between a fascist or an imperialist course in Syria should be discarded for a third and better course. Siehe: http://www.aljazeera.com/indepth/opinion/2012/02/2012269456491274.html
2008 gewann Massad den Scott Nearing Award for Courageous Scholarship.
