IVAM NRW e.V. ist Sponsor der 7. Internationalen Conference on the Commercialization of Microsystems (COMS 2002). Die Veranstaltung findet vom 8.-12. September 2002 in Ypsilanti, Michigan, USA statt.
Organisiert wird die COMS 2002 von der Micro and Nanotechnology Commercialization Education Foundation (MANCEF). Die Konferenz befasst sich unter anderem mit Themen wie Roadmapping, Anwendungen, Kapitalbildung, Marktanalysen und Trends, Förderpolitik, Fertigungsfragen und Industriestandards in der Mikrosystemtechnik.
Call for Papers: Interessierte Autoren werden gebeten möglichst schnell einen einseitigen Abstract und maximal zwei Seiten mit illustrierenden Daten oder Graphiken einzureichen. Der Abstract sollte auf 500 Wörter begrenzt sein.
Im Marriott Eagle Crest Hotel, dem Tagungsort in Ypsilanti, Michigan, stehen Ausstellungsstände für die Präsentation von Produkten und Informationen zur Verfügung. IVAM-Mitglieder erhalten einen Nachlass von US$ 500 auf die Standgebühren.
