Im Rahmen eines gleichnamigen Seminars veranstaltet der Augsburger Lehrstuhl für Betriebswirtschaftslehre mit Schwerpunkt Wirtschaftsinformatik II (Prof. Dr. Klaus Turowski) am 28. Mai 2002 einen Praxisworkshop über "Mobile Banking und Payment" an, der vor allem betriebswirtschaftliche, aber auch technologische Aspekte des Themas behandeln wird. An diesem Workshop können, soweit die Platzzahl ausreicht, auch Gäste teilnehmen (Unkostenbeitrag: 30 EUR).
M-Commerce als neue Ausprägung des E-Commerce entsteht durch die Konvergenz von Internet- und Mobilfunk-Technologie. In der Fachwelt wird dem Mobile Commerce im B2C-Bereich bereits für die nächsten Jahre ein sehr hohes Umsatzpotential vorausgesagt. Zu den anspruchsvollsten Anwendungen gehören dabei die mobile Verfügbarkeit von Bankdienstleistungen (mobile banking, MB) sowie Verfahren für das mobile Bezahlen (mobile payment, MP).
AUF DEM PROGRAMM des Workshops stehen fünf Vorträge:

o 11.15 Technische Aspekte bei der Entwicklung mobiler Bezahlverfahren (Mario Zenker, Virbus AG)
o 14.00 Mobile Banking: Bedeutung, Entwicklung und Lösungsansätze (Markus Schmidt, HypoVereinsbank)
o 15.00 Mobile Payment und Banking aus Sicht eines Netzbetreibers (Joe L. Deinhofer, O2 VIAG Interkom)
o 16.00 Abschlussdiskussion
