The “3rd International Conference on Managing Urban Land” (CABERNET 2012 Conference) in conjunction with the “6th International Conference on Innovative Solutions for Revitalisation of Degraded Areas” will be held on the 2nd - 4th of October 2012 in Ustron (Poland). The conference is organized by the Institute for Ecology of Industrial Areas (IETU), the Research and Supervisory Centre of Underground Mining Co. Ltd (CBiDGP), the CABERNET Europe’s Sustainable Brownfield Regeneration Network and CircUse project partners. The main conference theme is “Innovative Solutions towards Circular Land Use” and combines aspects of urban land management and degraded land revitalisation. Innovative methods and instruments towards implementing land recycling for both the public and private sectors will be presented. The conference will also focus upon future EU-cohesion policies and the European Union’s growth strategy “Europe 2020”. The CABERNET 2012 programme will cover the topics of:

    • Innovative technologies for land revitalisation
    • Economic, social and environmental tools for Circular Flow Land Use Management
    • Land demand for renewable energy production on brownfields
