Amendment: “CINF Scholarship for Scientific Excellence” goes to Schärfer, Zdrazil, and Braga

    Dear Colleagues,
    awarding the „CINF-Scholarship for Scientific Excellence“ is linked to a poster presentation to be delivered by the winner in person at the ACS meeting. As the announced winner Tu C. Le could not be present in Philadelphia on Sunday evening (Aug, 19), Mag. Dr. Barbara Zdrazil from the University of Vienna, Austria, was awarded for her paper “Prioritization of docking poses in human serotonin and dopamine transporters by the use of Common Scaffold Clustering“.

    On Sunday, August 19 at the Fall 2012 ACS National Meeting in Philadelphia FIZ CHEMIE and CINF, the Division of Chemical Information (CINF) of the American Chemical Society (ACS), revealed the identities of the 3 winners of this years "CINF Scholarship for Scientific Excellence" sponsored by FIZ CHEMIE / The scholarship honors junior scientists who deliver exceptional contributions to the field of chemical information / The winners are Christin Schärfer, Barbara Zdrazil and Rodolpho C. Braga

    Philadelphia / Berlin, August 21, 2012 – On Sunday evening (August 19) at the 244th ACS National Meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Christin Schärfer, Barbara Zdrazil and Rodolpho C. Braga were announced the winners of this year´s "CINF Scholarship for Scientific Excellence" sponsored by the German Chemistry information centre FIZ CHEMIE. The scholarship program of the Division of Chemical Information (CINF) of the American Chemical Society (ACS) promotes advancements in the field of computer-aided chemical information. It is given to junior scientists who deliver exceptional research contributions to support computer-aided chemical preparation, research collaboration and the use of specialized knowledge. The award is endowed with $ 1000.00 each.
