Die VolkswagenStiftung hat dem Bayreuther Religionswissenschaftler Ulrich Berner Mittel für ein Forschungsprojekt über christliche und muslimimische Identitätsbildung in Nord-Nigeria bewilligt.
Bayreuth (UBT). Die VolkswagenStiftung hat Professor Dr. Ulrich Berner (Lehrstuhl für Religionswissenschaft) für das Forschungsprojekt "The sharia debate and the Shaping of Muslim and Christian Identities in Northern Nigeria" knapp 160.000 Euro an Personal- und Sachmitteln bewilligt. Die Laufzeit beträgt ein Jahr. Das Forschungsprojekt betreibt Professor Berner zusammen mit Wissenschaftlern der Universität München und der University of Jos (Nigeria).
