Der Anglistentag 2002 wird von der Fachgruppe Anglistik der Universität Bayreuth organisiert. Die den Teilnehmern belegen will, dass Oberfranken auch "allerhand zu bieten"
Der Anglistentag 2002 findet vom 29. September bis zum 2. Oktober in Bayreuth statt und wird von der Fachgruppe Anglistik der Universität Bayreuth organisiert, die den Teilnehmern belegen will, dass Oberfranken auch" allerhand zu bieten" hat, wie die Bayreuther Professoren Ewald Mengel, Hans-Jörg Schmid und Michael Steppat in der Einladung an ihre Fachkolleginnen und -kollegen schreiben.
Am Eröffnungstag wird nach der Verleihung des Dissertationspreises ein Forum zum Thema "Möglichkeiten und Grenzen des Praxisbezugs in der Anglistik" stattfinden. Die Vorträge sind in insgesamt sechs verschiedene Sektionen gegliedert:

IV. British Cinema
V. Context and Cognition
VI. Varia
Das Beiprogramm sieht ein Poetry Reading mit Ellen Hinsey, eine Stadtführung, einen Ausflug in das benachbarte Bamberg sowie eine Abschlußfahrt nach Coburg mit Besuch der Ehrenburg vor.
