Vor fünf Jahren wurde der Lehrstuhl für Pulvertechnologie von Glas und Keramik neu gegründet. Aus diesem Anlass findet am 08. November 2002 eine kleine Jubiläumsfeier statt.
In den vergangenen fünf Jahren hat sich der Lehrstuhl für Pulvertechnologie von Glas und Keramik unter Leitung von Professor Dr. Rolf Clasen vor allem auf die Entwicklung, Herstellung und Charakterisierung von sogenannten hochschmelzenden Gläsern aus Nanopulvern spezialisiert. Diese werden unter anderem in Biosensoren verwendet.
