Einen Linux Seminarzirkel bietet das IT-Center Dortmund in Kooperation mit der Universität Dortmund an. Dabei können Nutzerinnen und Nutzer der System-Sofware in diesem Semester noch drei wichtige Anwendungsgebiete kennen lernen.
Am 18. und 19. November geht es um den Betrieb von "Netzwerken mit Linux". "Intranetserver mit Linux" ist das Thema für zwei tage am 16. und 17. Januar 2003. Das letzte Seminar befasst sich am 6. und 7. Februar 2003 mit "Linux Firewalling un d Advanced Routing".
