Diskussionsreihe "Max-Planck-Forum" startet in Berlin
Der Schutz des geistigen Eigentums spielt heute eine größere Rolle als jemals zuvor - als eigenständiges Handelsgut, als Umsatzfaktor für Wirtschaft und Industrie, bei strategischen Planungen weltweit operierender Unternehmen. Doch verschaffen Patente eine Monopolstellung, blockieren sie den wissenschaftlichen Fortschritt oder tragen sie dazu bei, dass Ergebnisse aus der Grundlagenforschung rascher zu industriellen Anwendungen führen? Mit diesem brisanten Thema setzen sich Gesprächsteilnehmer aus Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Politik beim ersten Max-Planck-Forum Berlin am 19. Februar 2003 in der Bayerischen Vertretung auseinander.
