Mit Hilfe moderner Optimierungs-Verfahren können in einem Catering-Betrieb Wareneinsatz und Lagerhaltung effizienter gestaltet werden. Der Einsatz solcher Verfahren stellt die Grundlage einer optimalen Warenwirtschaft dar.
Die im Fachbereich Mathematik der Universität Kaiserslautern entwickelte Warenmanagement-Software erlaubt nun, gestützt auf Verfahren der Vektoroptimierung und den Einsatz logischer Controlling-Mechanismen, eine optimierte Warenwirtschaft.
