Das ist die Ansicht von Dr. Wolfgang Blum aus Nürnberg. "Keiner liebt mich - Mathematik in der Öffentlichkeit" lautet der Titel des öffentlichen Vortrags, den der Wissenschaftsjournalist am Dienstag, 4. März, um 19 Uhr im Audimax der Universität Dortmund halten wird. Rahmen ist die 37. Tagung für Didaktik der Mathematik vom 3. bis 7. März an der Universität Dortmund, veranstaltet vom Institut für Entwicklung und Erforschung des Mathematikunterrichts. Eröffnet wird sie am Montag um 14:00 Uhr.
Thema des Kongresses sind neue Lernformen in Unterricht und Lehrerbildung. "Wir erwarten etwa 400 Teilnehmer", so der Tagungsleiter Prof. Dr. Hans-Wolfgang Henn.
Die Hauptvorträge: Prof. Dr. Christoph Selter von der Universität Heidelberg spricht über das "Rechnen - im Kopf und mit Köpfchen", Prof. Dr. Günter M. Ziegeler, Berlin, präsentiert "Geometrie zum Anfassen: Kachelungen und Polyeder", die Berliner Professorin Dr. Bettina Hannover beschreibt den Einfluss, den das Image der Mathematik auf die schulische Interessen- und Leistungsentwicklung hat, und der Titel des Vortrags von Dr. Marja van den Heuvel-Panhuizen aus Utrecht lautet "The learning paradox and the learning miracle: thoughts on primary school mathematics education". Zum Abschluss der Tagung trägt Konrad Krainer zu Aktion, Reflexion, Autonomie und Vernetzung als Qualitätsdimension von Unterricht und Lehrerbildung vor: "Selbstständig arbeiten - aber auch gemeinsam und kritisch prüfend!"(sti)
